Dave Fernandes

Sydney based DJ Dave Fernandes has created and played dance floor experiences for over 15 years in clubs and warehouses across the city, forging a groove that appeals to the committed, deeply set and versatile listener. He has held residencies with House of Mince and Nomad Radio and internationally played at Buttons Berlin, Red Light Radio Amsterdam, Young Hearts San Francisco and Ostbanhoff Los Angeles. In recent years in Sydney he has supported artists such as The Presets, Matrixxman, nd_baumecker, Honey Dijon, DJ Hell, Volvox, and Boris.

Originally starting out by co-running HAHA Industries for over a decade circa 2003, Fernandes served as a promoter, designer and resident DJ. During this time, he hosted and supported renowned artists including Optimo, Tim Sweeney, Hunee, DJ Sotofett, Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, Kenny Larkin and Basic Soul Unit, to name a few.

More recently Fernandes is a resident host of his show Versatilia on Nomad Radio where he showcases a diverse range of electronica, electro, acid, house, and techno music. Left field in nature, the genres linked by Fernandes’ unique ability makes sense of the sounds of swampy deep ends, sweaty body work and industrial tipped dark rooms.
